Business Proofreading

How many times have you spotted a typo or a spelling mistake in a business document from a competitor? Did it make you question their abilities?

Grammar, spelling, formatting and typing errors can have a serious impact on the information that businesses are conveying, ranging from other firms questioning your professionalism, to full-blown misunderstanding.

This service entails business proofreading, covering journal articles, conference papers, press releases, reports, adverts or promotional material, important emails and website content. Every piece of written material that goes outside the firm is an ambassador for the company’s professionalism, reliability and competency. Working with Screengrab Proofreading and Editing, you can make sure all of these ambassadors are error-free.

With a background in a range of business environments, I have the experience to competently proofread and edit various different types of documents:

  • I have been working in academic proofreading for ten years and have proofread countless conference and journal papers in all fields.
  • I regularly work for publishing and printing firms, doing a last proof of documents, manuals and books before they go to print.
  • I have worked with second language English speakers from all over the world and am able to competently understand and polish writing to the level of an intellectual native speaker.
  • I have worked as a reviewer and producer and therefore have experience of both writing and using press releases.
  • I have created, edited and content-curated a number of websites, ensuring the content is error free and the layout and formatting are clear and comprehensive.
  • I have run two of my own businesses, as well as working with various clients on managing theirs; I understand how to market, how important marketing is, and what it can achieve.

Business proofreading is charged at the standard rate of 15 GBP (or 19 EUR) per 1,000 words. Short documents under 1,000 words can usually be turned around within a few hours within office hours, slightly slower outwith these times. Documents that are about 3,000 words in length will take less than 24 hours during the working week and journal articles generally take two to three days. Quicker times can be arranged with advance notice. For a free sample or consultation, just send me an email.
